Our First presentation in speech class!!         ðŸ’•  As a class member and team member myself, I will say that I am so proud of everyone for   filling us with new and valuable information that'll help us further our expertise in presenting and public speaking and for battling through the nerve wrecking anxiety most of us feel when were presenting our about to present to a big audience. I am happy to say we successfully got through our first presentation, we killed it!! I also hope everyone learned something from this and can use the pros and cons to strengthen your speech ability as it'll be a crucial technique to our essential presentation class. 💞 Group one     Group one was pieced together by team members  Jessenia, Rem, Jaely, Matthew, Kevin, Anabella, Gabriela, Jessica, Darleny and Naomi. There were a total of 4 chapters and each were deliberately explained to help us understand the meaning within each chapter.   (Before I beg...

Group Presentation Analysis  Starting my first semester in college as a freshman again, the initial week of my new journey introduced me to a challenge: the introduction to public speaking class. Our instructor, Sherri Sinkoff, separated the whole class into three groups, for our first and future projects. I was placed in group one. Within group one, I met my team of twelve participants, Jaely, Anabella, Matthew, Jessenia, Naomi, Rem, Darleny, Jessica, Kevin, and the leaders Samuel and Maria Carla. Professor Sinkoff gave us our first presentation. Almost the entire group met days after and we divided the chapters, organized and practiced it. I was afraid because I speak English but not as fluently as the others, and that is a big insecurity for me, but of course I kept going and tried my very best job in presenting. We covered chapter one, two, three and four of the textbook. Maria Carla handled the project introduction. Jessenia, Rem and Jaely were in charge of chapter one. T...

Jaely Bernal project reflictection

Project Reflection  Group One- I was a part of group one; our group was assigned chapter one through chapter four. We all separated these chapters along equally and we all worked on our individual pages. Chapter one through four talks about the important things you need to know when becoming a public speaker. This chapter gives you tips on how to overcome your fears of presenting in front of a crowd, what to do and not to do while presenting and all the types of different presentations. Some of the most common things that happen to one while doing public presentations are shaky hands, we start to sweat even stutter, but we must come to terms that it is normal to feel nervous before presenting. It happens to everyone we just need to learn how to control that nervousness and turn it into something positive, think about it as just a feeling of excitement. Public speaking is an enhanced form of conversation, one of the best ways you can inform and win over the...

Group 1- Group one was presented by Jessenia , Rem , Jaely, Matthew, Kevin, Anabella,  Gabriela, Jessica, Darleny and Naomy, my group presented from chapters one through four and it talks about how in the powerpoint you will learn about skills that will be useful in your everyday life. Making my slides for the powerpoint and gathering up information from those chapters taught me how important it is to make sure when you present to be calm and that everything you say is useful and relevant to the topic you're talking about to not bore the people that are listening to the presentation . It is good to talk about current topics so people can be interested and even participate when you are presenting, if you're feeling too nervous before you present you can see classmates as your friends , know your subject , care about your subject and act confidently. The introduction of public speaking is very important because that's something you're going to do everyday wether you like ...

HI,WELCOME TO MY BLOG!   It's Jess Blog! WE ALL DID AWESOME IN OUR FIRST SPEECH CLASS PRESENTATION.  CLASS FIRST ASSIGNMENT! Group Presentation Professor Sherri Sinkoff divided the class into three groups and two group leaders. Each group had chapters assigned to be explained using PowerPoint as the source of the presentation. The book used for group presentation : Book: iSpeak 2013 Edition After viewing the three groups' presentations. We all did pretty awesome!  Even though it was our first presentation, I am thrilled with our effort to make these presentations as straightforward as possible. A few of us were more nervous than others, which is expected as we all have different personalities. I was the first to start the presentation in group one and the beginning of chapter one. It was highly nerve-racking, but I did better than expected. We all did well.  Below, you will find each group's assigned chapters, member's names, and the designated chapter covered by eac...

Group Presentation Analysis

Group Presentation Analysis!!  ☺      When looking at the 3 groups, you need to take into account the topics that were discussed in each group and how everyone presented it. As well as, from the audience's perspective, how well the group got along, and made an effort to bond with each other to make it a higher quality presentation. Firstly, I would like to discuss the class leaders Maria and Samuel. they did an excellent job opening up each presentation with including every member's name and what they cover, as well as closing out the presentations with effectively summarizing what was said. Group 1     Starting with a first hand experience I will be discussing Group 1 first. Group 1 explained chapters 1 through 4; the members in Group 1 are  Jessenia, Jaely, Rem, Kevin, Matthew (me), Anabella, Gabriella, Jessica, Darleny, and Naomi. Overall, we all got along and that made the experience better, and undoubtedly made our presentation to the class better...

Group Presentation Analysis                                           🧠 Group 1 🧠                                    I was part of group one for this presentation. It was a new experience for me as it was y first group project in college as it is my first semester. There are many things I learned during this experience. Personally, I believe the chapters we covered were very important. However, after listening to the other presentation from groups two and three I believe they were just as important making this whole book an essential read for everyone. Not just if they are taking a public speaking class but to help them in their future careers as well. As we were group one we were responsible for covering chapter one through four. Chapter one was presented by Jessenia, Rem and Jaely. Th...
